Facial surgery treats an individual area or together several areas in your face to give you a fresher, rejuvenated appearance. Such procedures may include:
Full Facelift
If you are considering a facelift in Thailand well be assured that this is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the world. It basically smoothens loose facial skin giving you a noticeably much younger and natural look once full recovery has been made. Depending on the exact procedure(s), the operation normally takes two to three hours. You will be under general anesthesia and may be required to stay in the hospital for up to two days. A facelift in Thailand will leave you loving your new, youthful self!
Neck Lift
This operation gets rid of those unwanted turkey wattles and the sagging skin in your neck. An inpatient procedure that usually takes two to three hours to complete, neck lift is also suitable for younger patients who exhibit the abovementioned symptoms because of either genetics or extreme weight loss.
Eyelid Surgery
This procedure, also known as blepharoplasty, reshapes and tightens the tissues around your eyes, improving the appearance of your lower or upper eyelids, or both. The surgery takes anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the extent of work to be done. You will be under local anesthesia and will be awake, but not in pain or discomfort during the entire procedure.
Forehead Lift
Also known as a brow lift, this procedure minimizes the creases that develop across your forehead or those that are high on the bridge of your nose. It also repositions low or sagging brows. The operation is done under general anesthesia and an overnight stay at the hospital after the procedure is encouraged.
Nose Surgery (Rhinoplasty)
Commonly known as the nose job, this procedure is done not only to improve the appearance of your nose, but also to correct any structural defect it may have. Depending on the extent of the procedure, general or local anesthesia may be administered. The extent of the procedure will also determine if you can go straight home or if you will have to stay overnight in the hospital following the operation.
To be a candidate for any of these surgeries, it is important that you are generally of good physical and mental health, and that you have realistic expectations about the procedures and the results.
Preparing for any of the surgeries involves prior consultation sessions with your surgeon. During this stage, your fitness to undergo operation will be assessed. You will likewise be asked to disclose whatever medicine and vitamins you are currently taking. This is important as certain drugs and supplements can cause bleeding and other complications later on, so you will have to stop taking or adjust their consumption accordingly. You will also be asked to stop smoking tobacco products and consuming alcoholic beverages two weeks before (and after) the big day.
Despite the high success and satisfaction rate of these procedures, there are still inherent risks involved, and complications may occur. Some patients experience nausea and general sickness after receiving anesthesia. This is usually a short-lasting side effect and goes away after a few hours. Bleeding and hematoma can also develop, leaving the affected area swollen. Infection does sometimes occur in a specific area. Just in case, you'll be prescribed antibiotics after the surgery to help avoid this risk
There are case specific steps and medication to be prescribed by your surgeon but post-operative care basically involves getting sufficient rest, eating properly, and momentarily avoiding strenuous physical activities. Depending on the procedure, you can go back to your normal routine after two weeks to a month of recuperation. Whether you choose a neck lift, eyelid surgery or even a facelift in Thailand, you will leave you loving your new, youthful self!
If all that sounds fairly easy, then we at Destination Beauty will make it even less complicated for you. Just answer our medical questionnaire and we will take it from there. From the moment you have your first online consultation with your surgeon until the time you are up and about and doing your regular chores after the procedure, we will be there to assist and guide you.
