Tummy Tuck Thailand

Tummy Tuck in Thailand From Only $2,876 AUD!

If you've had multiple pregnancies or lost a lot of weight - or have been left with excess skin or stretch marks around your abdomen for any reason - a Tummy Tuck may help you deal with the leftover skin and stretched abdominal muscles. Tummy tuck surgery (also called ‘abdominoplasty') is a procedure performed to remove loose skin, stretch marks and fat from your lower abdomen. Tummy tucks also tighten weakened, separated muscles and restore a smoother and firmer abdomen. Destination Beauty can help you find an experienced surgeon who can perform a tummy tuck in Thailand at a safe, quality hospital who can give you back a flatter, firmer, more natural stomach.

Excess tummy fat often occurs after multiple pregnancies and weight gain that stretch the abdominal muscles and skin to a point where it can only be corrected surgically. A tummy tuck in Thailand is a good option for men and women who used to be obese and still have tummy fat deposits and loose skin around their abdomen.

At Destination Beauty, we'll make sure that you have all the information you need to make the right decision about your tummy tuck in Thailand. Understanding the procedure, risks and results of is an important step in getting the best out of your tummy tuck in Thailand experience.

The Difference Between Liposuction And A Tummy Tuck

Abdominal liposuction reduces the thickness of your abdominal fat. It also involves body sculpting and body contouring. If excess fat is your only problem, liposuction should be the better option. However, if you have loose skin and weak abdominal muscles then a tummy tuck will remove the excess skin, smoothening and tightening your entire abdomen in the process.

Mini Tummy Tucks vs. Traditional Tummy Tucks

The difference between the two procedures is mostly about the incision. The traditional tummy tuck procedure works on improving your entire abdominal area (above and below the navel) while the mini tummy tuck only involves the area below the navel. During consultation, your surgeon will discuss which procedure is appropriate and will give your desired results for your tummy tuck in Thailand.

How To Tell If You're Qualified For A Tummy Tuck In Thailand

If you are in relatively good shape but have substantial tummy fat or loose skin in the tummy area that is not responding to exercise and diet, you may be a good candidate for a tummy tuck in Thailand. For example, women who have gone through at least one pregnancy are often good candidates for a tummy tuck in Thailand.

If you have certain conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, you may be considered at high risk for complications during and after tummy tuck surgery. You can still undergo a tummy tuck in Thailand but you will have to obtain a medical clearance to make sure you are fit for the travel to Yanhee Hospital in Thailand, as well as for the surgical procedure itself.

Keep in mind, though, that if you plan to have kids or lose a lot of weight in the future, pregnancy can damage the abdominal muscles while weight loss may result in loose muscles. If you expect to drop some pounds or start another pregnancy then you should postpone your plans for a tummy tuck in Thailand until after your body has healed from these changes.

What Does A Tummy Tuck In Thailand Cost?

The cost of a tummy tuck surgery at Yanhee Hospital depends on which type of surgery is performed - this is something we'll work with you and your surgeon to assess. If you go through with the surgery then you'll usually have to stay in Yanhee Hospital for 2 - 4 nights, depending on the exact procedure.

Risks
It is also important that you understand the potential risks of undergoing abdominoplasty. The tummy tuck is generally considered a safe procedure, but as with any kind of surgery, certain complications arise; infection and blood clots are very rare, but possible problems. Poor healing is also possible, resulting in scarring. You can lessen the possibility of such complications arising by strictly following your surgeon's advice.

Preparing For Your Tummy Tuck in Thailand

Once you are booked for a Tummy tuck in Thailand is an inpatient procedure that will require you to stay for around 3 nights in the Yanhee Hospital, a premier plastic surgery hospital in Thailand. Two weeks before your scheduled tummy surgery, you should stop smoking tobacco products and taking alcohol and medications, including vitamins. Eight hours prior to the surgery, you have to start fasting (you practically don't eat anything on the day of the surgery).

The Tummy Tuck Procedure

A tummy tuck surgery takes 2 to 3 hours to perform and is performed under general anesthesia, which puts you to sleep during the tummy surgery. This "sleep" prevents you from feeling and or responding to pain signals.  The procedure itself usually begins with a long incision across your lower abdomen, from hipbone to hipbone. A second incision is made around your belly button to free it from the abdominal tissue.

The skin is then separated from the abdominal wall, up to the ribs, exposing your vertical abdominal muscles which are typically stretched during pregnancy. Your rectus muscles are then shortened or pulled together, then stitched into their new position to tighten your muscles and reduce your waistline. The excess skin and tummy fat are then removed. Stretch marks and scars in the tummy area may also be removed during surgery.

Drains may be placed in your skin to reduce swelling. The drain is removed a few days before you are discharged. The stitches will be removed when you come back for follow-up.

Recovering From Your Tummy Tuck Surgery in Thailand

After your tummy tuck in Thailand, your abdomen is likely to be swollen for the first few days. Initially, you may not be able to stand up straight but you should try to move around as soon as you can to reduce the risk of blood clots. You can also expect to feel some pain and discomfort, but these can be managed with pain relief medication prescribed by your surgeon.

Depending on your physical condition, you may be able return to work after 2 - 4 weeks. If you are physically fit, your recovery could be much faster. Exercise will help you heal better and reduce swelling. However, you should avoid very strenuous exercise and activities until you can do them comfortably.

Your tummy tuck will result in a scar from hipbone to hipbone. The scar will be located below your navel and won't be visible under most clothing, including bathing suits. As the scar heals in the first 3 - 6 months, it may appear to worsen (swollen). It should flatten out and lighten in color after 9 - 12 months.

Outcome of Tummy Tuck in Thailand

After your tummy tuck in Thailand, you can expect your abdomen to look smaller and smoother, since the excess skin and tummy fat from the middle and lower abdomen have been removed. Your abdominal muscles are also tighter, and overall your abdomen will also be firmer and your waistline slimmer.

During your tummy tuck, much of the skin below your belly button is also removed, therefore stretch marks and sagging skin in this area will be a thing of the past.

The results of your tummy surgery are generally long-term, but may also be depend on your lifestyle, including your diet and exercise.
